Below are answers to the questions that are frequently asked by Math-Drills.Com users. Please direct other questions to the e-mail address in question #1.
Question #1: How do I contact Math-Drills.Com with my suggestions, comments, or other input?
You can e-mail the site administrator using the following link/address:
Question #2: How can I view and print the worksheets on Math-Drills.Com?
All of the worksheets are in the .pdf format. You can view and print .pdf files using Adobe Reader, Foxit Reader or other software that can read .pdf files.
Question #3: I already have Adobe Reader installed, but I still can't view and print the worksheets. What could be wrong?
You may have an older version of the software or it isn't installed correctly with your browser. You can find solutions to common problems by visiting the Adobe Reader Support Page.
Question #4: All or some worksheets won't open when I click on them or when I use a drop-down box. How do I access them?
The math worksheets on Math-Drills.Com open in a new window or tab, so you don't lose your place on the page where you are accessing the worksheets. Some Internet browsers view these as "pop-ups" and may block them. Most current browsers will not block a link that you deliberately clicked. If you still have trouble with your browser blocking pop-ups at Math-Drills.Com, go to the browsers website or help menu to find out how to allow pop-ups from this website. Although, we tried having a pop-up ad at one time, we no longer do this as we find them annoying.
Internet Explorer: Typically, the pop-up will be blocked by a yellow bar that appears near the top of the window. If you click anywhere on the bar, you will be given a few choices. You will want to click on, "Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site..."
Firefox: Select "Tools" from the main menu at the top of the window; then select Options. Click on the "Content" tab at the top of the window that appears. To the right of "Block pop-up windows," click on "Exceptions." Under "Address of web site," type in "www.math-drills.com" and click on "Allow."
Chrome: Google Chrome will very quietly indicate that a pop-up has been blocked by place a red x on the icon at the far right of the address bar. If you click on the red x, you will get a menu that will allow you to "Always allow pop-ups from www.math-drills.com." Once you've selected this option, you can click on the "Done" button and you will be able to access the math worksheets.
Question #5: How do I turn off the ads?
There are several ways of accomplishing this which would require some research on your part. If you are using a school computer, you might have to contact the IT department. If it is your own personal computer, try using something like the NoScript plugin for Firefox.
With that said, however, keep in mind that the reason why the worksheets on this website are free is because of our advertisers and sponsors.
Question #6: May I print/modify/use/etc. these worksheets?
The short answer is YES! You may use any of the worksheets on Math-Drills.Com for educational purposes, but you may not directly make money from them. We ask, but don't require, that you leave the attribution to Math-Drills.Com on the bottom of the page. Some typical uses for the worksheets are as follows:
In school classrooms printed or on interactive whiteboards.
By homeschoolers to teach math concepts either printed or on the screen.
By learning centers such as Sylvan, adult education centers, or any number of other centers.
By parents and/or students who need more practice in math skills.
For learning booklets. In this case several of the worksheets are put together in a collection.
There are many other uses other than the ones listed above. The main idea is that we WANT people to use the Math-Drills.Com worksheets for educational purposes and hereby grant permission to anyone to use the worksheets for educational purposes. Photocopying worksheets printed from Math-Drills.Com and giving them out to friends, colleagues, parents, etc. is perfectly fine. In fact, we would like you to do that.
Modifying worksheets is perfectly acceptable as long as you don't modify them in such a way that you attribute them to someone else. Replacing the footer text, for example with your own website address is not acceptable. Deleting the footer text is okay, but we'd rather you kept Math-Drills.Com on there, but we'd understand if you didn't. For example, maybe you want to cut and paste some questions from our worksheets onto a test you are making. That's fine.
Making money directly from the worksheets is not allowed. For example, making a booklet and selling it is not okay. Using them in a learning center as learning materials is fine as you are not making money off of them directly. Any inquiries for clarification may be directed to the address in question #1.
Question #7: I love your website. How can I send you money?
This is actually a real question we get quite often. We don't accept money from people who use our worksheets; however, if we've inspired you to open your wallet, there are many very worthwhile charities who could use your money. Your pick.
Question #8: Can I use one of your worksheets in a Youtube video?
Yes, just make sure the website address on the worksheet is clearly visible for at least 1.7 seconds.
Question #9: I found an error or some other issue with a worksheet. What should I do?
Please contact us at the address in question #1. By letting us know about errors and other issues, you will help in building a higher quality resource for parents, teachers, and other educators. If possible, copy and paste the link to the offending worksheet into your email.
Question #10: May I hotlink to your content?
Hotlinking means that you provide a link on your website to access the worksheets directly from our server. In most cases this is not permissible; however we do allow it on a small scale. For example, if you run a teacher page for your students and you want them to print a certain worksheet for homework, you may put a link on your teacher page to access the worksheet directly. This will result in very few requests to our server. An example of a prohibited use is to copy code from our website, host the code on your website and have many links to our content.
Question #11: I am interested in advertising my product on Math-Drills.Com.
